Iran continuous brining people to death through stoning

The stoning of women is one of the more savage, and revealing aspects of the mullahs’ rule in Iran. This vicious punishment of women is without precedent in Iran’s recent history. Since the inception of the mullahs’ rule, hundreds of women of various ages have been and continue to be stoned to death throughout Iran. What makes this hideous crime even more abhorrent is that it is carried out under the name of Islam. The Quran and the Prophet of Islam despised such behaviour.

Elnaz Babazadeh, a 26 year old woman was raped and murdered by Basij forces in the city of Tabriz (northwestern Iran) last week. According to the reports, Basij forces stopped Babazadeh in her car for not following the Iranian regime’s dress code. Elnaz resisted and ignored orders given by the Basij forces.

Then the Basij forces who had initially stopped her jumped into her car and threatened her with a gun. Two other Basij members joined in and all together they beat and raped her. They murdered Babazadeh and dumped her body close to Emamiyeh cemetery.

Just two recent cases of violence against women in Iran. The following video stories exhibit the constant crime against opponents in Iran.

One of the portraits of the Tehran and how inequality, poverty and injustice effecting lives, especially women.
Women who are the mothers, sisters and daughters of the same society.

Luca Serio Bertoulinni shows with this animation the story of Taraneh Mousavi. She was a beautiful young lady who was protesting after 2009 presidential election in Tehran. She was arrested by Basij Militia members, imprisoned and raped her several times. And when they feared that Taraneh might die Basij forces took her to the hospital. But she died and only a couple of hours later they stole her body and burnt it in the desert outside Tehran to remove all traces of this horrible crime.

A young woman tells her story of being inprisoned for not wearing a headscarf. This is an extract from the Swedish documentary Children of Islam (2007). You can order a copy at: http://www.journeyman.tv/?lid=57715
